Description

Curved Baseboard Moulding – Solid Poplar, 40″ Radius Profiled Baseboard

Carry a continuous baseboard line around curved walls, bay windows, and round rooms with this solid wood curved baseboard moulding. The profile pairs a flat plinth face with a rounded top edge and two stepped beads, machined to follow a 40″ radius so the moulding sits tight to the wall without kerfing or forced bending. It suits heritage restorations, turret rooms, curved stair walls, and rotundas.

Measuring 48.13″ end to end and 7.38″ high, this piece of wood millwork is machined from solid poplar, a stable, close-grained hardwood that sands smooth and takes paint cleanly, which makes it the standard choice for painted trim. Each length is cut to the radius rather than bent, so the profile stays crisp and consistent along the full curve and can be matched to straight runs of the same profile.

This curved baseboard moulding was reproduced from a client’s original samples, salvaged from an existing room. Our team traced the profile, rebuilt it as a production drawing, and machined new lengths to the same curve so the replacement blends with the surviving trim. We follow the same process for any heritage profile you need matched, straight or curved.
