Art For Everyday Presents Mullion Door Inserts

July 24, 2015

In case you are not familiar with the word, mullions are the decorative elements used to divide doors and windows into separate units. Mullion serve a practical purpose in providing structural support for their surroundings but can also be used to embellish the same.

Such elements saw extensive use in both Gothic churches and Elizabethan palaces, making it no coincidence that their presence is so well-suited to classic homes. With that said, custom mullions are versatile enough to fit into transitional and even modern homes with casual ease. Those of us at Art For Everyday manufacture our mullions as whole pieces on joints. Like the rest of our architectural woodcarving and wood products, said elements can be customized for a better match with the preferences of their intended users. In fact, we can make our mullions according to whatever design pleases our clients the most, much as how we can use whatever wood. Better still, our clients can order whatever they need and no more because we have not chosen to impose a minimum quantity on each order. If you are interested in learning more about either mullion doors or other potential uses, please contact us when your schedule permits.
