Add a touch of artistic inspiration from India to your home design with intricately carved doors, mantles and paneling. For the client who wants something a little different and exotic. Art for Everyday can create the delicate woven and lattice designs that are part of India’s artistic heritage. India’s design work evolved over centuries and it has influenced architectural design in North America with carved wood ornamentation and colorful fabrics. A hand-carved door will become the conversation piece of any room. Windows covered with hand-carved lattice-work screens below corbel arches can highlight a room. A more subtle influence can be carved moulding or a mantel with an intricate woven pattern supported by carved pilasters. A stairway railing can be carved in a variety of open-work designs similar to those found in India. Corner post, island post, carved columns and corbels can add to the exotic look. Intricately carved appliques and rosettes can suggest India’s signature floral and leaf designs. Architectural woodwork can be added to any room, especially living areas and bedrooms.  The extra applique or rosette can also enhance a bathroom or kitchen cabinet. See our design gallery of customized wood carvings for that special design project.
