When a private collector purchased the perfect replica of Steinway & Sons’ White House piano that is displayed at the Smithsonian in Washington, the collector also purchased a labor of love from Art For Everyday, Inc., a leading manufacturer of architectural woodcarvings. Over the past year, Master Carvers from AFE, based in Toronto, worked steadily on the intricate American eagle legs, coat of arms decorative panels, the musical instrument collage music stand, and the lyrical note inspired pedals in order to give the replication the same craftsmanship of the original piano presented to President Theodore Roosevelt in 1903.

Although most of our  inventoried products in their catalogues look like custom pieces (all are hand touched and finished even if cut by machine) it is the area of custom carving that this company sets itself apart.  In the past year, several projects have been completed for the renowned piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons, and other projects for private buyers that have included a female portrait in a fireplace mantel, a majestic desk inspired by characters in a popular children’s movie and familycoat of arms carved into residential architectural details.
